Hello!  I am walking to raise money for Gilda's Club in memory of my mom, Carol Vredevelt.  My mom was diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma in December of 2005, after suffering with symptoms for 7 months.  She was not given much time once she was diagnosed, but if you knew my mom, you know she was not going to settle for that.  She fought for 20 months before passing on to her home in heaven.  My mom was always known for her fierce sense of humor and for helping others - two things that Gilda's Club is also known for.  I know she would have loved to see money raised in her memory go to Gilda's Club.  Please consider any donation!  Mia, Anthony, Rocco and I will be walking in her memory on September 23rd.  Thank you for your support!!!
