After being a part of the team at Gilda's Club for the last eight years of my 40-year career in fund development I can honestly say that it was a joy to go into retirement with those memories. And the mission became most meaningful when my wife, Sue, was diagnosed with cancer. Providing emotional support for those on a cancer journey or those mourning the loss of a loved one from cancer or any other cause really came HOME to me! That's why I am part of the ninth annual West Side Walk for Gilda's Club. I would encourage you to join me or to be one to sponsor my efforts. Last year the walkers raised $42,000 of the more than $100,000 that the Walk brought to support Gilda's Club. I personally was responsible for raising $12,000 and I hope to eclipse that this year with a goal of $15,000. Please plan to participate with me by walking or making a gift. Thank you in advance!
