I am passionate about the mission of Gilda's Cub and donate a lot of my time volunteering.    Having lost my mom to breast cancer 31 years ago at the young age of 60, I know what it means to come as a member to Gilda's Club to share in a cancer or grief journey.   I wish Gilda's Club had been in existence when my mom was going through cancer and died.    21 years after her death I joined a grief support group as I was still grieving.    I had already been a volunteer for 9 years.    Besides my mom I have lost friends to cancer and cancer is prevalent in my husband's family too.    I walk to bring awareness to people about the wonderful job Gilda's Club does to offer all free programs to our members experiencing cancer and grief, along with their family and friends.   I volunteer at the reception desk and see first hand our member's relief when they know they are not alone on this journey.   Please help me raise the roof with your donation to keep our programs free for the 10,000 people who walk through our red door every year.
