Rod and I volunteered with LaughFest and at Gilda's long before I ever knew how much it would mean to me. They have been there for me every step of the way since Rod died - from giving me a loving place to grieve and meet some of the best friends I will ever have from my grief group to giving me purpose and an outlet for my volunteering. Did you know that they not only provide groups where you can meet with people going through the same thing you are and share your experiences and ask your questions about cancer or grief or anything in between. It's not a sad or scary place to hang out, they have craft groups and cooking classes and speakers on a variety of topics.
