Sisters Marcie and Marissa took up running as a new hobby in adulthood after spending their younger years as avid tennis players . Running together allowed them to catch up and spend time together while staying active. After seeing an ad for the Disney Princess Half Marathon in a running magazine back in 2010, they decided start training for their first long-distance run, and have continued to run that race (and others!) every year.

 

Marcie and Marissa will be running their first race as part of Gilda's team on September 9 in their hometown of Holland.  Gilda's Club is a marvelous resource for individuals and families of all ages and at all stages of a grief journey, and contributing to Gilda's Team is an awesome opportunity to support their mission and raise awareness for the free year-round programs and services offered at Gilda's Club.
