Can Friends & Family Donate?

Can friends and family make a donation to a Participant by going through the main website?

Answer:

Yes – the more, the better!  On the home page of the website, friends and family can locate a participant by clicking on Find Someone’s Page.  By typing in the name of the Participant, you will be directed to their personalized run page. The Donate button on that person's page will take you directly into donating to their personal fundraising goal.

Money raised through West Side Walk supports the mission of Gilda’s Club to provide free emotional healthcare to children, adults, families, and friends on any kind of cancer journey or those grieving the death of someone in their life due to any cause.

How do I make additional online registrations?

How do I make additional online registrations?

Answer:
Simply Login to your West Side Walk account:
  • If you previously registered only yourself, use the Register Additional People button found under Participant Tools.
  • If you previously registered a group, you can use the Register More People found at the top of your Family/Group Registration Status box.

Once additional registrations are complete, click Send Instructions (under Participant Tools) to send email instructions for new registrants to create their profile on the website.

Log into your personal page using your username and password to view your Donor list and the amounts that have been donated.

What should I do with cash and/or checks that I receive?

What should I do with cash and/or check donations that I receive?

Answer:

As you fundraise, you may receive cash and check donations in addition to online donations. Unfortunately, only gifts that have been received or processed by Gilda's Club will be reflected in your online total. 

To have your cash and check donations reflected in your online total, please mail or drop them off to to Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, ATTN: West Side Walk, 1806 Bridge St. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504 Please be sure to include your full name and team name if applicable.

Can I register more than one participant at a time?

Can I register more than one participant at a time?

Answer:

We do ask all adults wishing to participate register themselves so they can accept our event waiver. You may however register more than one person at a time that have previously been logged by our system to have a familial relationship with you. A drop down list during the registration process will show you who we have such a connection for. If you wish to register someone not in your drop down list during the registration process, please complete your registration, log out, and then start the process over for the other 

ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION INFO (date of birth, shirt size, gender and more)
Once names have been entered, the next screen will provide an Additional Registration Info  button for each person registered. You MUST complete child information at this time if they have not been registered with an email address.  If you have provided an email address but cannot complete the info for someone else, the individual will receive an email with a link to complete their own info.

I forgot my username and password.  How can I find out what they are?

Answer:

Don’t you hate when this happens?  Remember that your username is the email address used to register and your password is case sensitive.  On the login screen, click on the “I don’t know my password” link to find your password. You will receive an email with your username and password.
